The Aztec's point of view had a point. They had a different perspective of how we see it today. What they did for ritual sacrifices was their OWN way of doing. If sacrifice did not happen, the Aztec Empire would fall. They kept people under control too. The Aztecs did not always sacrifice their own people so it was okay for their population. Earth would not survive and live if the Aztecs did not sacrifice, or so they thought.
In Tenochtitlán, the capital, there may have had a population of 200,000 people. If they sacrificed the Aztec people a lot, it probably would not effect the population by much. That would probably be reasonable for the Aztecs.
